Online tutorial classes have seen a massive boom in business owing to the pandemic, with each tutorial platform trying to gain favour with students by offering out-of-the-box study material, modern teaching methods, advanced technology and newer innovations in curricula.

BYJU’S

This online learning platform led the tutoring revolution in India, becoming a household name in no time since its launch in August 2015. Platforms like Khan Academy had already existed for students abroad. BYJU’S brought similar online tutoring models to India. Aside from its star brand ambassador and intriguing ads, BYJU’S brings recorded sessions and individual mentoring modules for students.

Toppr

The award-winning ed-tech platform offers its services via a downloadable application. It is a complete learning platform that prepares students from Class V to Class XII for school exams as well as competitive exams. Toppr covers the syllabi of 17 subjects from 22 boards. It also prepares students for 58 types of exams, including NEET, JEE and Olympiads. The platform appreciates the scholastic brilliance of students as well. It has all India tests based on which students can get scholarships worth up to Rs 10 crore.

Meritnation

Meritnation has been one of the established names in tutoring since 2009. In 2014, it became an online platform with a mix of paid and free content for students from Class I onwards. Solved question papers can be accessed for free, while tutorial services cost a fee. Students of ICSE and CBSE boards as well as state boards of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala have the option of buying courses. The platform also offers specialized courses for students from Class IX onwards for entrance exam preparations.

Eduzyte

Eduzyte keeps it simple. On this platform, students start with a free demo class. They can then select a tutor from the thousands of educators around the world, pay for the sessions and attend classes. The service of professional tutors is available for both group and one-on-one sessions, according to the student’s choice. The variety of courses available covers state boards, international boards and central boards. Language courses, competitive exam courses and IT courses are additionally on offer at Eduzyte.

EdGuru

EdGuru offers important insights into a student’s progress, with parents of the enrolled students being able to have meetings with teachers to get regular updates. UrbanPro is a holistic tutorial platform that goes beyond the classroom.
