Lattice 2022, an annual business conclave conducted by the students of Masters of Business Administration-Executive programme at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, saw participation of close to 1,400 teams from various elite institutions, the B-school stated in a press communique.

The conclave, which concluded on March 12, was one of the first offline events held by an educational institution in eastern India after two-years of COVID-induced restrictions.

Lattice 2022 aimed at providing a unique platform for industry leaders, business heads and policy makers of the country to drive forward innovative ideas and foster a shared vision for a better, brighter and rejuvenated India.

The 2022 chapter of Lattice came forward with the theme of ‘Reinventing India: Innovative| Entrepreneurial| Sustainable’, with a focus on innovative solutions driven by technology and entrepreneurial mindset to drive sustainable businesses and realise India’s 2030 vision.

The keynote speaker and chief guest for the event was Anup Kumar Sinha, non-executive (Independent) chairman of Bandhan Bank. He stressed upon the importance of being able to be self-sufficient and embracing the idea of entrepreneurship to take India forward in the new decade.

Influential leaders and distinguished personalities from diverse industries and backgrounds exchanged ideas and shared their insights as part of the speaker sessions and panel discussions. Some of the notable speakers at the event included Dhiraj Rajaram, CEO and Founder of Mu Sigma; Anamitra Chatterjee, an accredited executive coach at Hult Ashridge Executive Education, UK, and Anant Deshpande, co-founder and COO of Finbox, one of the fastest growing Fintech start-ups in the country.

This was followed by a panel discussion on the topic ‘Vision 2030: challenges on the road to a $10trillion economy’. The participants of the discussion included Anurag Dua, partner, consulting at EY LLP; Rajat Deshpande, co-founder and CEO of Finbox, and Sandeep Fuller, project director at SYSTRA.

Two competitions – Gray Matters, a business case competition and Jigyaasa, a business quiz competition – were also held under the aegis of Lattice 2022. According to IIM Calcutta, the events garnered overwhelming responses from educational institutions and corporates from all around the country.

The event was concluded with a stand-up comedy act by one of India’s most popular stand-up comics, Anirban Dasgupta.

According to IIM Calcutta, the event attracted interest and participation from many industry stalwarts, students of top educational institutions as well as corporates. Lattice has completed 13 years and is one of the most popular business events amongst all management institutions in the country.
