It was a dream come true for both Shritama Goswami and Samriddha Nandi, as the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2024) were announced on Sunday, December 10. While Shritama has secured an All India Rank of 117 (Rank 4 in West Bengal), Samriddha has achieved the ALL India Rank of 163 (Rank 5 in West Bengal).

This was 19-year-old Shritama's second attempt at the CLAT Exam. She appeared in her board examinations from DPS Megacity in 2023 and was preparing for CLAT ever since.

"I didn't devote more than four hours towards preparing for the examination as it was making me stressed. I focused mainly on solving mock test papers. I used to take two mock tests every week and increased the frequency as the exams neared," said Shritama.

"Analysis of the mock test is more important than taking the mock test. The analysis of the mock test helps a lot in improving for the exam," she added.

Shritama comes from a family of Lawyers ad wishes to practice Criminal law as a profession. She is hopeful of securing admission at National Academy of Legal Studies and Research at Hyderabad.

"I come from a family of lawyers. My great grandfather and my grandfather were lawyers. Although my father is Chartered Accountant, he possesses a law degree," she said.

Samriddha, a student of DPS Ruby Park, on the other hand, wishes to take up law at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata and expects to secure a seat in the first round of counselling.

Son of an Anesthetist, Samriddha will be the first lawyer in his family.

"I will become the first lawyer from my family. Even though I was confident of cracking the test, I didn't expect such a wonderful result," he said.

Talking about his preparation strategy, Samriddha said that he used to focus on his strong areas since he was sure that it would help him achieve good marks.

"Though I didn't completely ignore my weaker points since it is a competitive examination, I focused more on GK and mathematics as I was good at it and practiced them a lot," he said.
