How to Apply for the PM Internship Scheme 2024

  1. Visit the official website at pminternship.mca.gov.in.
  2. Select the ‘Register’ option and enter the required details.
  3. Upon submission, a system-generated resume will be created.
  4. Choose up to five preferred internship roles, specifying preferences like sector, location, and qualifications.
  5. Submit the application and download the confirmation page for records.

Eligibility Criteria for the PM Internship Scheme 2024

  • Be an Indian citizen aged between 21-24 years as of the application deadline.
  • Be currently unemployed or not engaged in full-time studies (candidates in online or distance learning programmes are eligible).
  • Hold a qualification such as SSC, HSC, an ITI certificate, a Polytechnic diploma, or an undergraduate degree (eg, BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, BPharma).

The PM Internship Scheme, which has been designed to support skill-building and enhance employability, offers a stipend of INR 5,000 per month. Of this, INR 500 is funded by the hosting companies through their CSR contributions, while the government provides the remaining INR 4,500. The scheme also aligns with the country’s reservation policies, offering reserved seats for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC).

Leading industry giants are among the firms participating in the initiative, providing invaluable industry exposure to selected interns.
