Marathwada Accelerator for Growth and Incubator Council (MAGIC) – a Maharashtra government-backed body for supporting entrepreneurial ideas – has collaborated with the CSR project of Tata Technologies to create a conducive startup ecosystem for entrepreneurs.

MAGIC and Tata Technologies Ltd have jointly launched the Tata Technologies Magic Innovation Hub (TMIH), a three-month long virtual exhibition, which will work as a platform for startups to showcase their products online. The exhibition was inaugurated on December 28, 2021 in presence of Union minister of State for finance Bhagwat Karad.

The exhibition also aims at providing a platform to integrate all components of the startup ecosystem, and accelerate processes related to entrepreneurship and job creation.

Currently, MAGIC is incubating a dozen startups at its premises at the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) in Aurangabad.

MAGIC claims to have provided one-on-one mentorship to more than 100 startups from Marathawada region of Maharashtra. It helps start-ups in networking and establishing linkages for scaling-up their operations and also connect them with investors.

MAGIC plays an important role in bridging the skill gap and promoting innovations for entrepreneurship development in the region. It focuses on promoting innovation, promoting startup ecosystem, and mentoring and nurturing startups.

The TMIH pavilion is also a part of the 2021 exhibition of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Over the next three months, TMIH will host information sessions on government schemes, knowledge seminars, webinars, workshops and various activities to get complete information about startups.

Ashish Garde, director, MAGIC, said, “This is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations. This platform will be useful for corporations, incubators, investors, government agencies and educational institutions.”

Garde added that under the CSR project, a special place has been given to the successful projects of students selected from the Ready Engineers project of Tata Technologies.

Representatives from Tata Technologies Limited, CII, New India Innovation (Agni Mission), European Business Technology Center (EBTC), Maharashtra Innovation Society, HDFC Bank SmartUp and MAGIC attended the inauguration ceremony on December 28.
