Offbeat CCU, Kolkata is all set to host The Local Startups' Meet (LSM) on 15 October 2022, a specially curated event and a feature of the The E-Cell, of IIT Kharagpur, that attracts notable angel investors, venture capitalists, influencers, and early-stage and alpha-stage startups. LSM provides the opportunity to startup founders an opportunity to showcase their initiatives in front of more than 800 entrepreneurs and 110 venture capitalists present in all Tier I cities in India. It also offers tons of extra advantages for startups as part of its ecosystem empowerment strategy.
About the E-Cell: The E-Cell, IIT Kharagpur has established its reputation over the last 16 years with its year-round flagship initiatives under the patronage of organisations like Startup India, DPIIT, STEP, and Skill India, working towards fostering the spirit of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD) is the e-cell’s flagship initiative, a massive pan-India drive to reach out to colleges across different cities in India. EAD, with its humble beginnings in 2009, has grown manifold, to the extent that it has had a significant impact in promoting entrepreneurship across the nation in different cities. It has also successfully covered over 30 cities throughout the nation in the previous editions of EAD, and has witnessed the active participation of over 1,50,000 students from 1200+ colleges over the years.
LSM would consist of Panel Discussions, Workshops, Mentoring, Networking, and Pitching Sessions.
