National Testing Agency, NTA has recently opened the correction window for JEE Mains Exam 2023 Session 1. This correction window was opened on 3 February and will remain active for applicants to make changes till 5 February, 2023. Applicants willing to make changes can do so by visiting the official website of JEE Mains at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

According to the official notice, NTA will be giving an opportunity to the applicants to change or edit their State Code of Eligibility and Category in the Online Application Form of JEE (Main) – 2023 Session 1.

The State code of eligibility means the code of the State from where the applicant sitting in the exam will be appearing / has passed Class 12 (or any equivalent degree) qualifying examination. This automatically makes the candidate eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2023 and also eligible to get admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. It must further be noted that the State code of Eligibility does not depend upon the native place/permanent address or the place of residence of the applicant.
