The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon begin the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 exam from 24 January 2023. Candidates who will appear for the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam can apply online at their official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023.

Along with the IIT JEE Main registration form 2023, the exam pattern has also been made available in the official brochure. Candidates willing to appear for the JEE Mains exam are advised to check the JEE Main 2023 paper pattern to know the important details of Joint Entrance Examination Main 2023.

JEE Main 2023: Exam Highlights

  • The Joint Entrance Examination Mains will be conducted as a computer based test mode
  • JEE Main exam duration 2023 will be of three hours
  • Total 13 languages for the JEE Main examination namely English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu will be available
  • JEE Main 2023 will be of 3 sections- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
  • There will be two types of questions in JEE Main 2023 i.e. Multiple choice questions (MCQs) and questions with numerical value as answers
  • Total number of questions will be 75 questions comprising 25 questions from each section
  • The maximum number of marks in the JEE Main exam is 300

JEE Main 2023: Marking Scheme

For each correct answer, a candidate will be awarded four marks and for an incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. There will be no deduction of marks for questions unanswered.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2023 exam as a computer based test for B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch and B.Planning courses.
