The National Testing Agency (NTA) decided to reschedule the examinations based on requests from examinees.

“The NTA has decided to reschedule the dates of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main first and second sessions based on numerous representations received from the candidates,” the agency said.

This is the second time that the schedule of the first session of the entrance exam has been changed. Last month, the NTA had rescheduled the exams as the dates were clashing with Class XII board exams.

JEE Main comprises two papers. Paper I is conducted for admission to BE and BTech programmes at NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions, and institutions and universities funded and recognised by participating state governments.

It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs.

Registration for the first session is over now. The schedule for online application for the second session will be announced soon.

Candidates can check the official websites of NTA (www.nta.ac.in) and (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/) for exam-related updates. Students can seek clarifications by calling 011- 40759000/011-69227700 or emailing at jeemain@nta.ac.in.
