In the notice, the UGC requested that educational institutions hold student debate competitions with the theme "Contribution of Janjati Heroes in Freedom Struggle." Students should receive praise for their efforts.

Promote the legacy of individuals and unsung tribal heroes, including Birsa Munda and other tribal leaders.

Freedom warrior and tribal leader Birsa Munda was from Ulihatu in Jharkhand. He was of the Munda tribe. On June 9, 1900, he passed away at Ranchi Central Jail. He was born on November 15, 1875.
