Noida-based Institute of Management Studies (IMS) recently hosted its 13th convocation ceremony which was attended by the graduating business management students, faculty members and industry experts.

Wishing the students a successful future, Kulneet Suri, senior director of IMS Noida, said, "The ability to succeed is determined by practical knowledge as well as time management and constant work. The students can be successful by incorporating innovation and creativity into their lives."

"We know that the world is changing. Its technology, its climate, its social structures and boundaries are becoming more permeable. It takes no great predictive capacity to see what’s already true and to know that the individuals that we educate now make the world’s first truly global generation,” she added.

She pointed out that agile knowledge sharing makes the education sector extremely significant as it leaves a long-lasting impact on lives and livelihoods. Education is responsible for elevating the standard of living of crores of people in the country and setting them on lucrative career paths. She urged the graduating students to think of ways in which they could contribute to society while focusing on their careers.

"Just think of the impact that so many millions of intelligent, motivated, aspirational and educated minds like you will have on the prospects of humanity; on scientific research, construction, urban planning, agriculture, manufacturing, computing, information technology, climate, science, renewable energy, law, politics, defence, art, music, literature, and education itself," Suri said.

Dhruv Kumar Gupta, former president of Havells Private Limited and assistant vice president (AVP) of Ken Lifestyles Private Limited also attended the convocation.

“The pupils should think out of the box and continue to improve their skills. I will urge the pupils to keep their lives simple in the future,” he said.

“Important for every student to have bravery and to keep pushing forward without fear. Success and failure are two sides of the same coin. It is not required to achieve success in every attempt. In fact, failure is a necessary component of success. If you keep trying and working hard, you will succeed,” said Anil Bhasin, the chief guest of the ceremony.
