Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Ghaziabad, organised a Management Development Program (MDP) on Strategic Framework to Analyze Supply Chain through AI and ML on January 8, 2022.

Sunil Luthra, Ch. Ranbir Singh State Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhajjar, India and R.K Singh, MDI, Gurgaon and expert resource speaker, were chief guests for the MDP.

IMS Ghaziabad through Management Development Programs (MDP) aims at creating a virtuous cycle of academic value creation, where corporate leaders, learning and development professionals and academicians come together to create meaningful experiences. IMS conducts a variety of training and development programmes for all levels of management, academicians and research scholars. These are offered in functional and cross functional areas as per the industry requirement and global practices.

The MDP, under the academic awareness of Urvashi Makkar, director IMS Ghaziabad, aimed to provide an interactive platform for corporate executives, academicians and research scholars to be acclimatized with the applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Supply Chain Management.

The MDPs are designed based on contemporary trends and evolving realities of the professional world. Participants develop knowledge, skills and competencies in their areas as per the industry needs and requirements. Participants learn through interaction with others, experts and self-learning.

The program was coordinated by Naveen Virmani, Area Chair, Operations and Parul Yadav, Area Chair, MDP. The programme was instrumental in providing meaningful insights to delegates for effective decision making in operations and supply chain management.

Speaking on the occasion, Urvashi Makkar highlighted the exponential and transformational developments in AI and ML in contemporary times. She emphasised the critical role of technology as the backbone in all industries for survival, growth and profitability. The experts acclimatized the participants with the multiple dimensions of forecasting, inventory management, facility location, product classification, vehicle routing etc.


Hands-on training was provided through multiple simulation exercises, case studies and relevant readings. The practical and application oriented approach of the MDP enriched the learning experience of the delegates.
