The establishment of campuses for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Tanzania, Malaysia, and Abu Dhabi has been accelerated, with a year as the target completion date, according to top officials.

Prof. V. Kamakoti, the director of IIT Madras, stated that a team headed by the school's dean of global engagement has been tasked with organising the establishment of the institute's proposed campus in Tanzania, which will primarily provide courses in data science, mining, and metallurgy.

Teams from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) recently visited New Delhi, according to an official from IIT Delhi, which will establish a campus in Abu Dhabi, to study the model used by IIT-D and hold discussions with educators and students in this city. The official stated that "a committed team stationed in Abu Dhabi is working on it."

The fully residential campus concept is being considered for the potential offshore campuses, which would include staff and students from both the host country and India. The IITs are adhering to rules created by the Ministry of Education committee, which is chaired by Dr. K Radhakrishnan, chair of the IIT Council standing committee. But we are going above and beyond," a representative stated.

Courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels are presumably given, especially in developing fields.
