IIT JAM 2023: Exam will be held on 12 February 2023; Know the important guidelines

According to the official schedule, the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2023) will be held at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) on 12 February 2023.

The official website, jam.iitg.ac.in, has already made the IIT JAM 2023 Admit Card available. By logging into the application portal, candidates can download their admission cards. The instructions for the exam day are available here for those who will be taking the forthcoming exam. The results of the IIT JAM 2023 test will be released by the authorities on 22 March 2023.

IIT JAM 2023: Exam Pattern

The IIT JAM 2023 exam will be conducted via a computer-based test (CBT). It will be entirely objective in nature and have three different sorts of questions: multiple-choice (MCQ), multiple-selection (MSQ), and numerical answer type (NAT). One or two test papers may be taken by candidates at one time.

IIT JAM 2023: Important instructions for exam

  • At least 90 minutes before the exam's start, candidates must arrive at the exam venue.
  • Following candidate registration and photo capture, they will be allowed to log in 20 minutes prior to the test to review the instructions. They will be able to enter the exam room 40 minutes before the exam.
  • The candidate must then sit in the seat indicated by their Roll Number.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall 30 minutes after the commencement of the exam
  • They are not allowed to leave the exam hall before the allotted time
  • On the computer screen during the exam, there will be a virtual scientific calculator available.A scribbling pad will be given to the candidates for rough work.
