IGNOU extends January 2022 admission registration deadline for UG, PG and diploma courses

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for its January 2022 session till February 10 midnight.

The deadline for submission of the assignments for the December term-end examination has also been extended till February 5. The IGNOU entrance examination for PhD programmes will be held on February 24.

According to an official notice by IGNOU, “The fresh applicant is required to create new registration and submit all the details and choose the programme he/she wants to pursue. The applicant should read the instructions carefully while submitting the application.”

The admission procedure is open for various undergraduate, postgraduate, postgraduate diploma and diploma courses through open and distance learning and online programmes.

Candidates who have not registered yet can apply for the January session 2022 by completing the registration process on the official website – ignou.ac.in.

The candidates can check the eligibility criteria for every programme before filling the registration form. While filling up the IGNOU registration form 2022, candidates will have to enter their personal, academic and contact details. They must make sure that all the details provided in the IGNOU registration form 2022 are correct to avoid cancellation of the application.

How to apply for the IGNOU January session 2022?

  1. Visit the registration portal of IGNOU —ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
  2. Click on the “Click here for new registration” tab.
  3. Enter the details you are asked for in the registration form.
  4. Pay the registration fee via online payment method.
  5. Now you can login using the registered email username and password.
  6. Then press the ‘Login’ button.
  7. Now you can fill up the application form.
  8. Put in the personal and academic details.
  9. Upload the documents in the given format and size.
  10. Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

Applicants can pay the January registration fee through online payment modes with debit card, credit card or netbanking. The admission process will offer admission into various undergraduate, diploma, advanced diploma, certificate and postgraduate programmes offered at Indira Gandhi National Open University.

According to IGNOU, “In a particular admission cycle, facility for fee exemption available to SC/ST students can be claimed for one programme only. If an applicant submits more than one application claiming fee exemption, all the applications shall be rejected.”
