Educators discuss Innovation in Education and share personal teaching experiences

The ICFAI University Educational Leadership Summit on ‘Innovation in Education’ saw over 100 principals, directors and head teachers of reputable schools and junior colleges exchanging ideas.

The participants shared their views and experiences on use of innovation for better learning. They spoke about their practical experience of pre and post COVID-19 situations and how they adopted innovative teaching-learning methods.

Subrato Kumar Dey, associate professor (faculty of management studies), ICFAI University, Jharkhand, emphasised on the need for quality of education and grooming of students for good professional with values and ethics. “ICFAI University, Jharkhand, started several innovative cutting-edge technology courses like Digital Marketing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Block Chain so as to make the students industry-ready,” Dey said.

Speakers at the panel discussion included Sunita Rao, principal, Sai Smart School; Kishore Ojha, director, School of Management; Achal Poddar, principal, UHS High School; Vivekanand Mahato, principal, JKS Inter College; Devpriya Rastogi, principal, Adarsh Bal Unch Vidyalaya; and Pankaj Kumar, vice-principal, Aadivasi High School.

Rao appreciated the teaching methodology adopted by the faculty members of ICFAI University, Jharkhand, to make students understand the concept easily. Ojha explained the need to focus on hands-on practice of theories in the teaching methodology.

Welcoming the educational leaders to the summit, Sumit Rathaur, chief manager, ICFAI Group information department, said, “The ICFAI group is one of the reputable educational groups of India. It has 11 universities across India imparting quality education in multiple disciplines. The objective of the summit is to discuss the best innovative practices in education so as to impart quality education in educational institutions in Jharkhand in the post-COVID situation”.

Sandip Kumar Singh Modak, associate professor of ICFAI University, summarised the summit discussions and proposed a vote of thanks.
