Today, 18 March 2023, enrollment for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Common Offer Acceptance Portal (GATE CoAP) 2023 opened. The official website for GATE COAP 2023 is gate.iitkgp.ac.in, where candidates can apply online.

The GATE COAP 2023 portal lists the information regarding the seats provided by the participating Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore for admission to the PG courses. Candidates will be able to view the seat assignments made by the participating schools on the GATE COAP 2023 portal.

GATE 2023: Steps to register for CoAP

  • Visit the official website
  • On the homepage, click on the registration link
  • The CoAP 2023 registration will be displayed
  • Enter the required details
  • Click on the validate button
  • Login to the portal with the generated credentials received on the registered email-id and mobile number

Once the seat allotment is done, candidates will have to confirm the seat assigned with the option

Accept and Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with the position they have been given may choose to freeze. In the following rounds of admission, neither seat allocation nor offers of upgrading will be given to these applicants.

Retain and Wait: Candidates can choose the retain and wait option if they want to take the offered seat but also look for a better option in a subsequent round.

Reject and Wait: When a candidate does not want to take the designated seat and instead wants to think about moving on to the next round, they can choose this choice.

Reject: Candidates may choose the reject option if they do not want to take any offers made to them during the GATE COAP 2023.

Candidates who receive no places must wait until the next round of seating allocation.
