Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has deferred the release of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 admit cards.

The admit cards, which were expected to be released today (January 3), will now be put up on the official website - gate.iikgp.ac.in - on January 7, 2022.

Candidates will be required to enter their GATE 2022 ID and date of birth to access the admit cards. However, the release time is yet to be announced by IIT Kharagpur.

A notification on the official website read: "Candidates can download admit cards from January 07, 2022."

"Candidates MUST be aware of fake information (videos, email, SMS, etc.) related to the GATE 2022 examination. This is the only official website of GATE 2022. Candidates are requested to check for latest announcements only on this website (https://gate.iitkgp.ac.in)," it added.

How to download GATE admit card 2022:

  • Visit the official website– gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
  • Click on the designated GATE 2022 admit card link.
  • Insert your login credentials including IDs and date of birth.
  • Submit and download the GAT2 2022 admit cards.

The GATE 2022 exams will be conducted between February 5 and February 13, 2022. GATE 2022 will be held in two slots - the first from 9am to 12pm and the next between 2.30pm and 5.30pm. It will be entirely a computer-based test (CBT).

GATE primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission into the Masters programmes and recruitment by some public sector Companies. GATE 2022 is conducted by IITs on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB) – GATE, the department of higher education, ministry of education (MoE), Government of India.
