A total of eight BTech students from JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) in Jaipur have been selected to pursue the remaining part of their current semester in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar.

All the eight students selected for this opportunity to study in IIT Gandhinagar are pursuing BTech in Computer Science at JKLU. These students are fluent in multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, R, and some variants of SQL.

Yash Goyal, a final year BTech student of the varsity, has bagged a paid internship opportunity at IIT Gandhinagar. He will be working with IIT Gandhinagar’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation team. He has performed exceptionally well in his semesters.

“The programming language and the curriculum gave me a definite edge in the selection process for the highly competitive programme. I am elated and thankful to everyone who supported me. I will spend my final semester at prestigious IIT Gandhinagar. This experience will give me the skills and knowledge that I need to continue my research,” Goyal said.

The other seven JKLU students who will be joining IIT Gandhinagar are Divyanshu Tripathy, Prachika Kanodia, Aakash Mittal, Mohak Goyal, Jinal Swarnakar, Jaya Sodhani and Somprabha Kashyap.

IIT Gandhinagar promotes critical thinking and appreciates the interdisciplinary character of knowledge, with an emphasis on liberal arts, project-oriented learning, compulsory courses in design, life sciences, diversity and globalisation.

In 2019-2020, seven BTech students from JKLU were selected to study in IIT Gandhinagar in the first semester and two more in the second semester.

We hope that in the future, many more JKLU students will take advantage of such high-quality higher education opportunities. We also have international tie-ups with top universities from countries like the USA, UK, Europe, and the Asia Pacific regions to provide international exposure and experience to the students,” said Sanjay Goel, director, Institute of Engineering & Technology, JKLU.
