Santi Ranjan Dasgupta, Ananda Kishore Pal and Amit Bandyopadhyay from the Calcutta University will be investigating and conducting the project with the selected candidate

Calcutta University is offering the position of one junior research fellow (JRF) in the department of Physiology to students with a background in Life Sciences.

The selected candidate will be working on a government-funded project dealing with high intensity exercise induced alteration in haematological, oxidative stress and muscle damage parameters in male and female athletes.

Eligibility and qualifications required :

  • Candidates must have an MSc degree in Physiology or in any branch of Life Science with a minimum of 55% marks.
  • Candidates with hands-on experience in working on human subjects in the field of Sports and Exercise Physiology will be preferred for the job role.

  • Candidates are to send a soft copy of the application should be sent through email to abphys@caluniv.ac.in by January 10, 2022.
  • Only one softcopy of merged PDF files will be acceptable for the application, inclusive of self-attested copies of mark sheets, testimonials and two recommendation letters.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview (online), the date and time for which will be communicated directly to the candidate through email.
  • The selected candidate can start working any time after the selection, subject to the restrictions imposed by the government due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Santi Ranjan Dasgupta, Ananda Kishore Pal and Amit Bandyopadhyay from the Calcutta University will be investigating and conducting the project along with the candidate.

Any stipend or remuneration for the post will be disclosed to the selected candidate at the beginning of the project.
