The controller of CBSE asked the UGC to instruct all educational institutions to accept the digital copies of certificates that are available on Digilocker and have QR codes and digital signatures

An important announcement addressing the validity of mark sheets, passing documents, and migration certificates on Digilocker has been made by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). On the CBSE's official website at cbse.gov.in, the official notice is published.

After discovering that some colleges were requesting students to bring physical printed copies of their migration certificates. In order to address this problem, CBSE published a notification stating that all higher educational institutions should accept documents, such as mark sheets, passing certificates, and migration certificates, that are available in Digilockers and have digital signatures.

The Board has, however, also stated that CBSE will soon give the students a printed copy of their migration certificate.

Sanyam Bhardwaj, the controller of CBSE, asked the University Grants Commission (UGC) to instruct all educational institutions to accept the digital copies of certificates that are available on Digilocker and have QR codes and digital signatures. All educational institutions were asked by the UGC earlier in January to recognise diplomas, grade reports, and other papers published on the DigiLocker account as legitimate documents.
