Summary
Scores in JEE (Main) will be considered for admission in BTech, while admissions in five-year programmes in law will depend on CLAT scores
The varsity will not rely on cut-off-based evaluation system for admissions

BML Munjal University (BMU) in Gurugram has opened admissions for its undergraduate programmes and given the conventional cut-off-based admission parameter a miss in a bid to ensure a more holistic review process of applications.

According to BMU, the single mark cut-off system is gradually being avoided by progressive universities. The varsity has taken the lead to move towards a holistic review process and will consider applications even before students appear for Class XII exams and receive their scores.

The admission criteria of the university does not evaluate a student’s capabilities based on their school exam scores alone. It also considers standardised test scores, interviews and other parameters depending on the choice of programme to consider the application.

Scores in entrance tests like JEE (Main) and CLAT will be considered for the BTech and Integrated five-year programmes in law respectively. Students may also appear for BMU’s internal test, the BMU-SAT.

Hansa Sachdeva, director of admissions & financial aid and communications with BML Munjal University, said, “The process of making education more personalised is underway. At BMU, we see the years at university as a transformative journey that makes the most of every student’s potential.”

To be eligible for admission, students will have to pass class X and class XI or equivalent examination. Other admission criteria are mentioned on the website of the varsity – www.bmu.edu.in.

According to the varsity’s website, BMU brings together outstanding academics, industry professionals, experienced researchers and the latest facilities to deliver a hands-on and multi-disciplinary learning experience to the students.

The university offers undergraduate to doctoral programmes comprising BA (Hons) in Economics, BBA, BCom (Hons), BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BBA, Integrated BBA-MBA at the undergraduate level and MBA, LLB (Hons) and PhD.

BMU is a private university founded by the promoters of the Hero Group. The varsity is mentored by the Imperial College London and is engaged in creating, preserving, and imparting internationally benchmarked knowledge and skills.
