A rise in overseas hiring opportunities, an average pay package of Rs 8.45 lakh per annum and a top offer of Rs 22 lakh per annum marked the placements for the 2021-2022 batch at Birla Global University (BGU), Bhubaneswar.

Students pursuing various professional courses at BGU have been placed with reputable companies in India as well as abroad. The recruiters included major companies in the financial services, FMCG, investment, banking, IT and consultancy sectors.

MBA students secured jobs with an average CTC of Rs 8.45 lakh per annum. The highest CTC offered to a management student from the university was an impressive Rs 22 lakh per annum. Reputable companies such as Tata AIG, Godrej Properties, ITC, SBI, Reliance Retails, Ad Factors PR were among the major recruiters.

A highlight of the recruitment process seen this year was a large number of overseas placements. Several MBA students were recruited to companies in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar.

Placements for undergraduate students of BAJMC, BBA and BCom included offers from USA-based companies for their Indian offices.

Top-rated media and public relations firms hired students of journalism and mass communication. The average package offered to the students was Rs 5.4 lakh per annum.

P.P. Mathur, the vice-chancellor of BGU, congratulated the students. “I am happy to see that BGU has achieved high and quality placements at various big companies like Tata and Godrej. This has set a high placement record with overseas placement of Rs 22 lakh in countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE. This year, we have seen that undergraduate classes have also been placed in addition to MBA students. I hope this placement trend will continue and we will get recruiters from even better companies,” he said.
