Steps to Apply

  1. Visit the official SSC Headquarters website, ssc.nic.in.
  2. Navigate to the 'Latest Notifications' tab and select the 'Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2024' section.
  3. Preview and verify submitted information. Modify entries if necessary.
  4. Agree to the declaration, fill in the captcha code and proceed to payment if applicable.
  5. After successful submission, the application status will be indicated as 'Application Received (Contents Not Verified).'
  6. Retain a printed copy of the application form for their records.

The SSC aims to fill a total of 4,187 positions through this recruitment drive. These positions include 125 vacancies for male Sub-Inspectors (SIs) in the Delhi Police, 61 for female SI candidates in the Delhi Police and the remaining 4,001 positions for SI candidates within the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

Application Fees

A fee of ₹100 is required, with exceptions for women candidates and those belonging to the scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST) and ex-servicemen (ESM) categories.

Selection Process

It consists of four stages. Initially, candidates will undertake an objective type written exam. Successful candidates will then progress to the Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). Stage three involves a descriptive exam (paper 2). Those who pass paper 2 will undergo a medical examination conducted by medical officers from the CAPFs, central or state government hospitals.
