The International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum should be introduced in government schools, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed department officials on Monday.

While reviewing the work of the Education Department, he gave these recommendations and stated that the study should also include steps to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a subject in higher education.

"The study should serve the purpose of shaping students into world-class products in tune with the changing trends in science and technology, business, research, and economic fields," stated Reddy in a press statement.

According to officials, foundation courses will be introduced in higher education for the final semester through the establishment of centers of excellence for research in AI. Additionally, they want to provide top-notch courses for instruction, evaluation, and research.

Reddy instructed the officials to expand the scope of AI with the aid of reputable foreign academic resources like the foreign Bureau and to pilot those courses before implementing them fully.
