If you love to spend hours in museums or walk through the lanes and bylanes of the city to know their stories, the Annual Heritage Quiz by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) is waiting for you.

The second edition of the Annual Heritage Quiz for Classes VIII to XII will be held on April 13 and April 18. The Telegraph Edugraph is the digital partner for the event.

The quiz contest will be held in two phases. The preliminary or elimination round will be held online at 5pm on April 13. The results will be announced on April 16. The final round will be held on April 18.

Arindam Bhattacharya, founder partner, Cradle Solutions, will be the quiz master for this competition.

“Creating heritage awareness is one of the prime objectives of the heritage committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In association with INTACH, the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, we have designed various programmes to take our mission forward. We need to create interest in heritage among the youth and for that we are conducting this heritage quiz which is a fun way of reaching out to youngsters. Our first edition last year was very well-received and so we decided to hold the second edition this year on the occasion of World Heritage Day. We look forward to an exciting event,” said G.M. Kapur, chairman Heritage Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

All participants will be awarded e-certificates. The finalists will receive certificates of special mention and gift vouchers. The winner, first and second runners up will receive medals, certificates of appreciation and gift vouchers.

The initiative has been kindly supported by various Corporate and Educational institutes from Kolkata like Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital Ltd., Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited, Caring Minds, Delhi Public School Ruby Park, RT Network Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Sister Nivedita University.

They have all come forward to promote the importance of cultural heritage, its preservation and conservation, and how heritage can create a socio-economic impact on the overall development of a nation.
