Amity Technical Placement Centre, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh is organised a 32-hour engagement activity and training programme - Microsoft Azure Masterclass - in association with Ernst & Young (E&Y) for students from BTech Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics and MCA of the 2023 and 2024 graduating batches.

The programme aims to enable the students in developing the fundamental understanding of the most common aspects of cloud infrastructure requirements, covering general cloud computing concepts as well as general cloud computing models and services. The programme has received 508 participations from the students of Computer Science and Information Technology.

Addressing the students during the inaugural session, Suhaib Siddiqui, lead - Microsoft Learning Practice for EY Learning Solutions, averred, “This masterclass will be covering the key aspects of important roles in Azure namely, Administration, Development, Security, Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning. The programme will provide knowledge and skills to the students to operate machine learning solutions at cloud scale using Azure Machine Learning to manage data ingestion and preparation, model training and deployment, in Microsoft Azure.”

Anand Akhouri, who spearheads business development of the learning solutions practice of Ernst & Young – Financial Accounting Advisory Services (EY-FAAS), stated, “Through this programme, the students will attain knowledge on fundamentals concepts related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the services in Microsoft Azure that can be used to create AI solutions. The programme is beneficial for the students of Computer Science and Information Technology as it will also provide useful information on building Logic App solutions to integrate apps, data, systems and services across enterprises by automating tasks and business processes as workflows.”

Highlighting the importance of the training programme, Anjani Kumar Bhatnagar, deputy director, Amity Technical Placement Centre, said, “The training would help students to gain understanding about the various niche technologies in which they can build their career at some of the top ranked organisations across the globe. As there is a significant increase in the demand of IT professionals, undoubtedly the students attending the session will be getting an advantage during the campus placements as well.”
