A two-week course on "Advanced Quantum Computing" with instruction in IBM QISKIT is being organised by the Pravartak Technologies Foundation of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras).

In partnership with Mphasis Centre for Quantum Information, Communications, and Computing and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) India, the course is being taught (MCQuICC).

According to IIT-Madras, the goal of this new course is to introduce specialised themes to students who are already familiar with the basics of quantum computing. Additionally, it will introduce the QISKIT runtime, which will eventually become the standard way to programme in IBM QISKIT.

The two-week course will be taught from 5 December 2022 to 16 December 2022 at the IIT Madras campus. Participants from businesses and government agencies are welcome. The registration deadline is 2 December 2022. The official registration page is wsaqc.pravartak.org.in.

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, provides funding to the IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation as part of its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS). Its goal is to create and market solutions in the field of cyber-physical systems with a focus on Indian requirements.
