American Skateboarder Tony Hawk once said that Skateboarding is an art form, a lifestyle and a sport. Radhika Kejriwal of Mahadevi Birla World Academy truly justifies that. Radhika, with her dedication and practice, has today become one of the fastest skaters in West Bengal, winning fame and recognition in the skating community not only for herself but also for our state. She has also won gold thrice in the state’s Roller Skates Championship held in 2022. This comes as no surprise when you consider her schedule. On any given day, Radhika practices in 3 separate sessions, each lasting anywhere from 3 to 4 hours. A student of class 8, Radhika has bagged several medals at state and zonal levels through the years. She proudly says that someday in the future she would like to see herself standing in the middle of the podium and watching the Indian national flag fly high to the strains of our national anthem. As she gears up for national-level competitions, she says that making India proud would be the best feeling in the world for her.
