Aditya Roy

“A goal is an aim that everyone has in their lives. In the long run, life becomes worth living only when it is backed by a purpose. My biggest goal in life is to become a cricketer seeking glory for both my country and myself”, says Aditya Roy, a class 10 student of South Point High School. At present, Aditya is representing the Bengal U-16 Squad in the Vijay Merchant (U-16) tournament 2022-23 and is also the captain of the team. Having won the prestigious title of ‘Man of the Match’ in several inter-school tournaments, Aditya’s ultimate aim is to play for India in the U19 World Cup. In a country as passionate about cricket as ours, most people understand that it is a game of emotions, adventures, patience and a lot of hard work. But Aditya goes one step beyond. As the skipper, he also firmly believes the role of a team leader lies in guiding, and the quality of leadership also makes a significant difference in the overall results of the team. Aditya not only aims to lead his team but also wishes to continue his studies on the side, striking a much-needed balance between work and studies, to excel in his chosen career pathway.
