Amity University Kolkata in synergy with Amity School of Engineering and Technology successfully organized First International Conference on Emerging Technologies in Science and Engineering (ICETSE-2023) to bring together a diverse and distinguished group of researchers, scientists, engineers, and industry professionals from around the world. The primary objective of the conference was to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and best practices, as well as to foster collaborations and innovative solutions to address global challenges.

The conference, held in a hybrid mode from 20 July to 21 July 2023, featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, and technical sessions covering various emerging fields such as Computing Technologies, Networks and Communications, AI and Data Science, and Sustainable and Resilient Design.

The esteemed Conference Patron, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, from Amity University, Kolkata, set the tone for the event with his insightful address on engineering trends and sustainable development, inspiring and captivating the audience with visionary ideas.

Conference Chair, Prof. (Dr.) Birajshis Pattnaik, Head of Institute, Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University, Kolkata, shared the conference statistics during his address. A total of 80 research papers were submitted through Easychair, and after a rigorous blind review process involving at least two international experts, 35 high-quality papers were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 43.75%. These submissions came from diverse regions, including India, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America, showcasing the conference's global reach and significance.

The conference featured four distinguished keynote speakers, namely Dr. Pethuru Raj Chelliah from Edge-AI division, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. (RJIL), Bangalore, Dr. Sumit Narula, Director at Amity University, Gurugram, Dr. Somenath Chakraborty from West Virginia University, USA, and Ms. Aatreyee Guha Thakurta, Head of Higher Education Mobility for British Council, India. These experts provided valuable insights into their respective fields, contributing to the intellectual richness of the event.
