Engineering aspirants in West Bengal are busy preparing for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2022, which will be held offline on April 30.

What is WBJEE?

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or WBJEE is an entrance examination held at the state level. Students hoping to pursue an undergraduate (UG) degree in Engineering and Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy from government, self-financing or technological institutes in the state of West Bengal need to appear for this examination. Based on the ranks of the candidates, they can gain admission to the over 100 colleges recognised by the WBJEE Board.

Important dates

  • April 25: Admit cards to be released
  • April 30: WBJEE 2022 to be held
  • May second week: Answer key to be released
  • May fourth week: Results to be declared
  • June second week: Registration for counselling to begin

Admit cards

The admit cards for the examination will be available on the wbjeeb.nic.in website from April 25. Here are the steps to follow to get the admit card:

1. Visit the official WBJEE Board website https://wbjeeb.nic.in/WBJEEBBoardCMS/Page/Page?PageId=1&LangId=P

2. Find the “Download WBJEE Admit Card” link and click on it.

3. Log in to the portal using the application number and password.

4. Once the submit button is clicked, the admit card will appear on the screen.

5. Check to see if the details are correct and click the download button.

6. Print the downloaded admit card.

Examination centres

While registering for the examination candidates, had to give their preference of the examination centres. However, the WBJEE board takes the final call and allocates the examination centre.

Examination centres for WBJEE 2022 are spread across 60 cities in West Bengal, Assam and Tripura. Once the examination centres are allotted by the board, no changes to the exam centre of any candidate are permitted.
