The West Bengal Higher Secondary Examinations 2022 results were announced on June 10. The overall pass percentage this year was 88%.

Examinees will be able to check their results online on the official website of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) from 12pm on June 10. They will also be able to download and print their complete marksheets. The results can also be checked on The Telegraph Online website.

The physical marksheets will be distributed from the council’s offices from 11am on June 20. School representatives may collect the marksheets. Schools have been requested to distribute the marksheets among students the same day.

Two hundred and seventy-two students — 144 boys and 128 girls — were placed among the top 10. A merit list of the top 10 students will be published on the official website of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE). The council will also publish the names of toppers among Santhali, Urdu and Nepali students and district-wise toppers.

Adhisha Deb Sharma of Dinhata Soni Debi Jain High School, Cooch Behar, was declared the topper with 498 out of 500 marks (99.6% aggregate). Sayan Deb Samanta of Jalchak Nateswari Netaji Vidyayatan, West Midnapore, was placed second with 497 marks (99.4%).

The topper from Kolkata was Rohin Sen of Patha Bhavan with 497 marks (99.4%). He shared the overall third rank with three others.

A total of 7,44,655 students had enrolled for the West Bengal Higher Secondary Examinations 2022, of whom 7,20, 862 students (96.8%) appeared for the exam. Among the examinees, there were 65,486 more girls than boys this year.

The success rate among boys was 90.19% and among girls it was 86.98%.

Seven districts achieved a success rate of more than 90% — East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Jhargram, Purulia, Kalimpong, South 24 Parganas and Bankura.

The results were published in a record 44 days — a first for West Bengal HIgher Secondary results, according to the council.
