Students will get to attend free sessions over a period of eight weeks

Classes under Step Up masterclass series, a mentorship programme offered for current and aspiring MBA students by skill enhancement company YUGMA, commended on April 8.

The Step Up masterclass series is the first-ever mentorship fest organised by YUGMA, a vertical of the mentorship platform VMentor.ai.

The unique masterclass series will offer the participants a chance to interact with more than 25 mentors from various industries. Some of the mentors are experienced campus recruiters, while others are chief experience officers (CXO) of various companies.

The participants can gain insights from experts in industries like banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), healthcare, pharmaceuticals, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), fast-moving consumer durables (FMCD), retail, market research and consultancy. Insights from the industry veterans can help the students decide their career paths and become industry-ready.

Before taking their next step in their career, the participants can have their doubts regarding their career plan clarified. Students preparing for the Common Admissions Test (CAT) and Common Entrance Test (CET) will gain a better idea of which colleges and specialisations to opt for as well as what job roles await them after graduating from a business school.

Step Up masterclasses are also useful for students already enrolled in B-schools. They can plan their summer internships and prepare for their final placements better to leverage them for their careers ahead. With invaluable insights on roles to target and specific industry-tailored requirements, they can step out of their roles as students and into the roles of highly valued professionals.

“At YUGMA, we have been bringing together corporates and academia through meaningful interventions to improve employability and build a pipeline of future leaders. YUGMA does this by leveraging technology and its pool of 200+ industry mentors. Step Up will strengthen this process by bringing corporates and CXOs closer to academia and equip students to build a foundation for a strong career,” said Meenu Bhatia, co-founder, VMentor.ai.

Participants can visit the YUGMA site for the event and select their mentor. The skill enhancement courses offered by YUGMA will also be showcased digitally during the masterclass series. These courses are designed to give students an edge in the final placements.
