Here are some of the steps being taken at various points on the campus:

School gates

The school will be using two gates for entry and exit to split up the students and avoid overcrowding. The gates will be opened half an hour before classes begin. Footprints have been marked on the pavement in front of the gate and to help students maintain distance.

Thermal screening will be conducted while entering the campus. Two security personnel will be deployed to ensure all safety protocol are followed. Sanitisation stations have also been installed.

Staircase and elevator

The staircase railings will be sanitised frequently. Access to the elevator has been restricted and students are barred from using it. Sanitisation booths have been installed at all landings so that students may sanitise their hands before entering the classrooms.

Digital display boards

Digital display screens have been installed at various points on the campus. The screen will show slides reminding everyone about COVID-safety practices.

Classrooms

Students will be seated at every alternate desk. Some classes will be held in large halls. Teachers will be taking class in protective gear.

Laboratories

Each work table will be shared by only two students at a time. Students will work under the supervision of a teacher. The work stations and equipment will be sanitised. Students will also use the equipment only after sanitising their hands. Masks will have to be worn at all times.

Isolation room

In case a student or a staff member shows any symptoms of COVID-19, they will be immediately shifted to the isolation room until provisions are made for them to go home. A professional nurse in a PPE kit has been deployed to take care of isolated patients. High level of sanitisation will be maintained in the isolation room. The regular infirmary will also be functional to treat cuts and bruises but it will be located far from the isolation room.

Other safety measures

All classrooms will be fumigated after school hours and locked. Other spaces on the campus will be sanitised too.

Students have been asked to wear only three-ply masks. They may also wear face shields. All students must carry their own sanitiser bottles and plastic bags for disposal of used masks if needed.
