National Institute of Design Declares 2024 BDes DAT Result, Opens Campus Choice Submission

Candidates who participated in the exam can now access their scores on the official website, admissions.nid.edu.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has announced the final results for the Bachelor of Design (BDes) Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Main for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates who participated in the exam can now access their scores on the official website, admissions.nid.edu.

Concurrently, NID has launched the facility for candidates to submit their campus preferences.

The following documents are required for campus preference submission

  • Valid photo ID (Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, passport, etc.)
  • Birth certificate and proof of date of birth
  • Class 10 certificate
  • Class 12 certificate (if results are pending, the mark sheet should be submitted by July 15)
  • Self-undertaking as per the prescribed format
  • Caste certificate
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)

Candidates can submit their campus preferences from May 21 to 23. For those dissatisfied with their results, rechecking requests can be submitted through the official portal by May 22, up to 4PM.

The first round of counselling for seat allotment, seat confirmation, and payment will take place from May 29 to 31. Should any seats remain unfilled, additional counselling rounds will be conducted to ensure all vacancies are filled.

Admission to the undergraduate design programme will be determined based on merit. Successful candidates must confirm their seats by paying a non-refundable token fee of ₹30,000 plus convenience charges for domestic applicants and ₹75,000 for international candidates by May 31, up to 4PM. Failure to pay by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of the admission offer.
