PM Shri Scheme: More than 14,500 schools will be developed

According to Neeta Prasad, Joint Secretary (International Cooperation), Ministry of Education, more than 14,500 schools will be built throughout India under the PM SHRI plan with all the elements of NEP 2020, she announced on Friday.

Speaking at the 6th East Asia Summit Education Minister's Meeting, she asserted that NEP 2020 supports the Prime Minister's vision of an all-encompassing, adaptable, and multidisciplinary approach to education. ‘It is based on foundational pillars of access, equality, quality, affordability and accountability. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of 2030’.

According to her, NEP 2020 places a strong emphasis on fostering international relationships and internationalising education. India takes its educational partnerships with EAS nations very highly.
