CBSE Result 2023: The board reported on Friday that more than 3.08 lakh students had achieved scores above 90% on the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams, and more than 66,000 had achieved marks above 95%. While there have been fewer students in both classes who received scores above 90% and 95% compared to last year, CBSE authorities stated it would be incorrect to make a comparison because the academic year was broken into two terms last year due to the pandemic.

Over 3.71 lakh students achieved grades of 90% or above last year, and 98,340 applicants achieved marks of 95% or higher in both classes. To prevent unhealthy competition among students, the board has abandoned the practise of publicising merit lists and allocating divisions based on marks.

In the Class 12 exams, 1,12,838 (1.12 lakh) students achieved grades of 90% or above, and 22,622 applicants achieved scores of 95% or higher. 271 of the students who scored above 90% are classified as having special needs, and 44 of these students scored at or above the 95 percentile.
