Summary
NTA released the NEET UG 2022 admit card on July 12. The admit card can be downloaded from NTA’s official website
The admit card was released for the originally stipulated examination date of July 17 despite the widespread appeals from students to defer the NEET exam by 40 days

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 admit card today. The admit card can be directly downloaded from NEET’s official website: https://neet.nta.nic.in/. NTA has set the date for the examination as 17 July, Sunday, and the exam will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM IST.

With the release of the admit card, NTA has officially dismissed the thousands of appeals MBBS aspirants and applicants have made towards its postponement. Appeals for postponement have been consistent since NTA’s initial announcement of the exam in June, with students having submitted memorandums to the Ministry of Education, started a Twitter campaign under the hashtag #PostponeNEETUG and made public appeals to the NTA.

In their appeals, students highlighted that the NEET UG 2022 dates are clashing with the dates of other major entrance exams, such as the CUET 2022 and the Higher Secondary exams. Additionally, the counselling process for NEET UG 2021 was concluded in May 2022, which makes the July 17 date problematic for the applicants, leaving them with less than 2 months to prepare.

As per the notice released by the NTA, the admit card will be available on 12 July, 11:30 AM onward on NEET’s official website: https://neet.nta.nic.in/. Candidates can download their admit cards by entering their application number and date of birth.

Candidates have also been advised to keep an eye on the Information Bulletin and visit the official websites of NTA [www.nta.ac.in and https://neet.nta.nic.in/] for all the latest updates.

NEET UG 2022 will be conducted at different centres located in 497 cities across the country as well as 14 cities outside India. Over 18 lakh applicants have registered to take the exam this year.
