The last date for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) undergraduate (UG) 2022 registrations has been extended from May 6 to May 15 by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

NEET application forms can now be filled till 9pm. The application fees are payable till 11:50pm on May 15.

The NEET 2022 exam will be held on July 17 in a single shift from 2 pm to 5:20 pm in about 543 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. The exam will be conducted in 13 different languages — English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

NEET is conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH BSc Nursing, BSc Life Sciences and Veterinary courses. More than 11 lakh NEET applications have been received by NTA till now.

The Armed Forces Medical Colleges have decided to consider NEET for admission to BSc Nursing courses this year.

The NTA notification states, “It has also been decided by the Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services that the scores of NEET (UG) will be used for the selection of FEMALE Candidates Only for admission to the B.Sc. (Nursing) Course…In view of the above, the last date for receiving Online Applications for the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2022 for all the candidates has been extended.”

Registrations can be made through the official website — neet.nta.nic.in.

Applicants who are above 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before December 31 of the year of admission would be eligible for seeking admission to the various medical undergraduate courses.

Candidates who have passed their Class XII board exams with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology with English as a core subject from a recognised board are eligible to appear for NEET-UG. Also, students who are appearing for their school final examinations can apply.
