Throwing light on the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) last proposal for merging JEE Main, NEET and CUET, the minister confirmed that at present there is no proposal under consideration of initiating an integrated exam, as per the All India Radio News tweet.

The announcement made by the then UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar back in the month of August regarding the merger received mixed reactions.

While putting forth the proposal of merger, the UGC chairman stated that the reason to merge all three national level entrance exams is to mitigate burden on students from appearing in multiple entrances. Opposing the same, students on social media pointed out at numerous technical glitches and issues occurring during JEE Main 2022, NEET 2022, CUET UG 2022 examinations this year.
