The deadline for medical institutions to submit the information of students enrolled in the first year of the MBBS program for the academic session 2022–2023 has been extended by the National Medical Commission (NMC) yet again, this time until 16 January 2023. Previously, 10 January 2023 was the deadline for universities to upload student data.

Despite providing medical colleges enough time and extending the deadline from 31 December 2022 to 10 January 2023, according to NMC, they have not uploaded the data, which "may result in future difficulties."

"As a result, the date of uploading stated on the NMC site is once more extended until January 16, 2023. Therefore, you are expected to upload data/details of all students enrolled by your medical colleges for the MBBS degree by the target date of 16 January 2023, on a priority basis," according to NMC's most recent announcement, if the data is not submitted by the deadline, the affected colleges would be held liable for any subsequent lawsuit or complications. NMC further underlined the need to adhere to the terms, conditions, and directives as well as the requirements of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, and the Indian Medical Council (IMC) Act, 1956, when applying for admission and uploading data.
