Summary
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the NIRF 2022 India ranking today
JU, CU, IIM Calcutta, Presidency and St Xaviers among the top ranking colleges and institutions

The NIRF Rankings of colleges across the country were declared by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan via live broadcast on July 15, 2022. The Education Ministry ranks colleges from across the country on parameters 5 major parameters, namely Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity and Peer Perception, to release the National Institutional Ranking Framework.

West Bengal’s own Jadavpur University, Calcutta University top the list in State-aided Universities. Presidency College ranks 3rd and St Xavier’s 8th among colleges from across the country.

As per the latest NIRF rankings, the top 5 engineering colleges are:

  2. IIT Delhi
  3. IIT Bombay
  4. IIT Kanpur
  5. IIT Kharagpur

Top 5 to Rank at the top in the Universities category are:

  1. IISC Bengaluru
  2. JNU
  3. Jamia Millia Islamia
  4. Jadavpur University
  5. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore

In the Overall category of NIRF 2022, these are the top:

  1. IIT Madras
  2. IISc Bengaluru
  3. IIT Bombay
  4. IIT Delhi
  5. IIT Kanpur

Beyond universities, the top 5 colleges as per the NIRF 2022 rankings are:

  1. Miranda House
  2. Hindu College
  3. Presidency College
  4. Loyala College
  5. Lady Shri Ram College for Women

Top 5 institutes for Pharmacy as per the NIRF rankings are:

  1. Jamia Hamdard
  2. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad
  3. Panjab University
  4. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali
  5. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani

Top 5 MBA colleges announced by the NIRF 2022 are:

  1. IIM Ahmedabad
  2. IIM Bangalore
  3. IIM Calcutta
  4. IIT Delhi
  5. IIM Kozhikode

Top institutes for Architecture as per NIRF 2022 are:

  1. IIT Roorkee
  2. NIT Calicut
  3. IIT Kharagpur

In the NIRF Medical Colleges 2022 category, the top 3 are:

  1. AIIMS Delhi
  2. PGIMER Chandigarh
  3. Christian Medical College, Vellore.

And finally, the NIRF ranked Top Law Colleges for 2022 are:

  1. National Law School Of India University, Bengaluru
  2. National Law University, New Delhi
  3. Symbiosis Law School, Pune

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also launched the NIRF India ranking booklet in this conference. National Institutional Ranking Framework is considered to be a benchmark and is a true reflector of the stature of the universities and colleges featured on it.
