The Supreme Court (SC) issued an order to all states and union territories to complete the round 2 of NEET PG counselling by 16 November, 6 pm.

“In order to ensure the finality of the process of counselling in NEET PG we direct all states and union territories to complete the second round of counselling at 6 pm on November 16, 2022 and submit data on the same day to the MCC,” stated the order of Supreme Court.

The order was passed by a bench consisting Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Hima Kohli. They further added that the counselling for mop-up round shall be carried by competent authority after the completion of round 2 of counselling.

The Supreme court also directed Maharashtra to conduct state mop-up round after the AIQ mop-up round is over. The order was passed in view of a contempt petition highlighting the grievances of Karnataka and Bihar.

Meanwhile, on 10 November, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) extended the deadline to register and pay the fees for NEET PG mop-up round to 13 November. Candidates will be able to register till 11 am of 13 November, while they will be able to pay the fees till 3 pm of the same day. They can register at the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in.
