The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially allowed candidates to resign from their NEET PG 2024 Round 1 seats by December 3, 2024. This decision follows multiple requests from candidates who have secured seats in both MCC’s counselling and state-level counselling.
Resignation Guidelines
- Candidates wishing to resign must visit their assigned colleges to initiate the process.
- Colleges are required to update resignation details on MCC’s intraMCC portal.
- Any resignation not recorded on the portal will be deemed ‘Null & Void’, leaving the seat unvacated.
Conversion from Indian to NRI Status
MCC has also opened the window for candidates to apply for conversion of nationality from Indian to Non-Resident Indian (NRI) status for the second round of counselling.
Candidates must email the required documents supporting their NRI status to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com from 10 AM on November 29 to 10 AM on December 1, 2024. Documents must meet the Supreme Court's standards for validating NRI status. Importantly, candidates who previously submitted documentation for this conversion in the first round and were approved do not need to resubmit their documents.
