Good news for students, faculty and professionals from the industry willing to undertake a course in digital marketing. The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is launching an online short term course on the subject and has invited applications for the same.
Named ‘Marketing in the Digital World’, the online course is aimed at providing hands-on training to the participants in the art of using emails, social media marketing, web marketing, affiliate, sponsored and performance marketing. The programme will consist of various lectures and lessons.
The course curriculum is designed for mid-level managers working in any business domain, MSME and startup entrepreneurs as well as digital marketing enthusiasts.
The course will be conducted from January 15 to January 19, 2024 and candidates will be admitted on a first come and first serve basis. The institute has fixed the maximum number of students to be admitted for the course at 50. The last date for submission of online application is January 10, 2024.
The course will consist of a mix of lectures, hands-on training and discussions. Academician and industry experts with proven knowledge, experience and demonstrable skills in digital marketing will be delivering the course.
Subjects to be taught in the programme include Digital Marketing in the disruptive era, the background, concept and Content creation, Content Curation and Video Hosting, Attribution Modelling, Customer Relationship Management using Digital Marketing and Measuring effectiveness of Digital Marketing, among others.
“If students of IIT Kharagpur want to join the course, they will not have to pay any fee. It is open not only for students but also for faculty members and industry professionals. It is also relevant for entrepreneurs and MSMEs who want to market their product online,” said Prof Saini Das, the coordinator of the course.
Course fees
For industry participants – INR 10,000 + 18% GST = INR 11,800
For faculty – INR 7,500 + 18% GST = INR 8,850
For students – INR 5,000 + 18% GST = INR 5,900
