The CET 2023 comprises two parts, with Part A carrying 75% of the marks, covering general awareness, reasoning, quantitative ability, English, and Hindi. Part B, accounting for the remaining 25% of the marks, focuses on Haryana's history, current affairs, literature, geography, environment, and culture, with questions set at a Class 10 level.

The CET 2023 will have 95% weightage in the evaluation process, with an additional 5% weightage assigned based on socio-economic criteria. Applicants will receive this weightage if no family member is a government employee, and the annual family income does not exceed Rs 80,000.

The 5% weightage will also be awarded to widows, individuals whose fathers passed away before the age of 42 (or 15 for the first or second child), and members of specific denotified or nomadic tribes in the state.

To qualify for Group D positions in Haryana government, candidates from the general category must obtain 50% marks (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage), while those from reserved categories need 40% marks.
