QS I -GAUGE announced India’s happiest educational institutions at a conclave in India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, awarding over 33 universities, colleges, and schools from across India, after the assessment exercise which began in December last year in association with industry body ASSOCHAM. These institutions were titled ‘Institutions of Happiness (IOH)’.

Union women and child development minister Smriti Zubin Irani presided over the event and awarded the certificates. On the occasion, she said, “It is important that educators gain insights into the level of happiness of students and their wellbeing, which will enable institutions to advance their outcomes holistically.”

On the occasion, Ashwin Fernandes, the CEO and director of QS I-GAUGE, said, “Quality and excellence are of great significance in imparting education, as it enhances the capacities and capabilities of the learners, who will bridge the gap between the underdeveloped and the developed nations. This is not possible without the involvement of every stakeholder. QS I-GAUGE is actively involved in providing global expertise to Indian institutions in this journey.”

Abishek Yadav, the chairman of Griffins International School, said, “We are indeed very happy to receive this prestigious award. We always believe that happier children are more likely to become more successful and truly accomplished in life. A happy childhood would define the wellbeing of an adult in future. Our students get ample playtime and get more opportunities to interact with each other in an open environment of the vast school campus. The happiness of the children being our prime focus, we put our best effort to instil optimism in the minds of small children and create scope for them to perform small acts of kindness to build empathy. This award is a recognition of our hard work and I hope this would take us closer to our vision of being a learning school that ignites inquisitive minds to innovate and inspire others.”
