Agniveer Recruitment 2026: CEE Registration Extended? Indian Army Announces Revised Schedule
The Indian Army has extended the deadline for online registration for the Agniveer Recruitment Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026. Eligible candidates can now submit their applications until April 10, 2026, instead of the earlier deadline of April 1. Applications must be completed through the official recruitment portal(joinindianarmy.nic.in).
The ongoing recruitment drive aims to fill approximately 25,000 vacancies under the Agniveer scheme. Unmarried male candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply for various posts, including Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper (SKT), and Agniveer Tradesman for both 8th and 10th pass candidates. Additional roles such as Soldier Technical, Sepoy Pharma, and Religious Teacher are also part of the recruitment, requiring higher qualifications.
As per the eligibility requirements, candidates applying for Agniveer General Duty must have passed Class 10 with at least 45% aggregate marks. For Agniveer Technical posts, candidates should have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Applicants for Clerk/SKT roles must have passed Class 12 in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks. Tradesman posts are open to candidates who have passed either Class 8 or Class 10, depending on the role.
Candidates must be between 17.5 and 21 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided as per the guidelines mentioned in the official notification. Applicants are advised to complete the application process independently and avoid relying on intermediaries or agents.
The application process requires candidates to fill out the online form and upload necessary documents, including a recent photograph, signature, and valid identity proof. Before submission, applicants should carefully review all entered details. The application fee is ₹250, which can be paid through online modes such as net banking, UPI, debit card, or credit card.
The selection process will begin with an online computer-based test scheduled between June 1 and June 15, 2026. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Depending on the post, candidates may also be required to undergo typing or trade tests. The final stages include document verification and a medical examination.
