The Ministry of Education (MoE) unveiled the NIRF Rankings 2024 on August 12, marking the ninth edition of this comprehensive evaluation of India's higher education institutions.
The rankings, which serve as a significant benchmark for academic excellence, placed Jadavpur University from Kolkata in a distinguished position, making it the only state public university to secure a spot in the Top 10 of the broader ‘University’ category.
Jadavpur University's consistent performance is further highlighted by its dual recognition in the rankings. In addition to ranking 9th in the overarching 'University' category, the institution also stands strong in the 2nd position in the 'State Public University' category in the country, just behind Anna University, Chennai, which secured the top spot.
